Features

Everything your kitchen needs. Nothing it doesn’t.

Six features that cover everything from a sensor reading to an EHO inspection — with nothing bolt-on and nothing missing.

Feature 01

Real-time monitoring

Live temperature every minute. The dashboard shows current temp, status (Stable / Drifting / Critical / Offline), and a trend comparison against the previous hour — not just whether it’s above target. Problems surface first; stable cabinets step back. Mobile-first, works from the kitchen pass, the back office, or at home.

  • One-glance status across all sites
  • Trend vs. previous hour median, not just the target temperature
  • Critical cabinets always surface first
  • Works offline on mobile (read-only)

Feature 02

Alerts that escalate

A threshold breach at 2am sends an email and an SMS immediately. If no one acknowledges within the configurable window, a voice call is placed — a spoken message gives the cabinet name and temperature. The person on call presses 1 to acknowledge. The alert stays open until someone does.

  • Per-cabinet warning and critical bands — not symmetric offsets
  • Per-contact channel preferences and priority order
  • Configurable delays per alert rule — send SMS immediately or after a set wait
  • Out-of-hours rules — skip SMS, go straight to call
  • Mute during planned defrost with 90-day cap and audit trail

EHO-ready compliance

Every reading, every alert, every acknowledgment is saved automatically. Acknowledgments capture who responded, when, and why — with structured reason codes. Your environmental health officer asks for temperature records; you export a CSV and hand it over.

  • 3 years immutable, tamper-evident retention — all plans
  • Acknowledgment reason codes: door left open, defrost cycle, false alarm, fault
  • Manual probe and visual checks for offline compliance completeness
  • One-click CSV export of readings, alerts, or full audit log

Feature 04

Offline resilience

If your broadband drops, the hub keeps recording. Readings go into a local SQLite buffer — enough for roughly a week. When connectivity returns, the hub drains the queue in chronological order and checks for any threshold breaches that happened during the outage. You still get the alert; it’s just stamped at the time it actually occurred.

  • Local SQLite buffer — up to ~7 days per hub
  • Retrospective breach detection with outage duration in the alert
  • Optional 4G USB dongle failover via NetworkManager
  • Outage gap visible in dashboard chart

Feature 05

Multi-site management

One login covers all your sites. Each site has its own cabinet list, contact list, and alert rules. Add a new site, set up the hub, and it appears in your dashboard. You can see all sites at once or drill into one.

  • Unlimited sites on Standard plan
  • Per-site contacts and alert rules
  • Single login for the whole operation
  • £25/month per site — no per-cabinet or per-user fees

Manual temperature checks

Sensor readings are continuous, but sometimes you need a manual check — a probe reading from a spot-check, or a visual confirmation. Log these directly from the dashboard. They appear in your compliance export alongside sensor readings, with source, method, who logged it, and any notes.

  • Log probe or visual readings from any device
  • Timestamped, attributed, and immutable
  • Appears in CSV export with Source and Method columns
  • Covers compliance gaps during planned maintenance or hub downtime
